The Company is headed by Dr. Amos Freedy, president, and Dr. Gershon Weltman, vice president and principal scientist. This same team previously led Perceptronics, Inc. as president and CEO, respectively. From 1970 to 2001, Perceptronics, Inc. successfully completed over $250 million worth of R&D and production projects in the areas of human performance modeling, decision support and simulation and training for a large number of U.S. Government agencies and commercial companies. Among the company's most successful R&D products were:
SIMNET. The world's first networked virtual reality simulation, which effectively changed the way the U.S. armed forces train.
BBS. The battalion and brigade simulation which introduced networked commercial PCs to military constructive simulation.
Group Decision Aid. A pioneering group decision support system based on formal decision analytic models and human factored interactive aids.
This ground-breaking work directly supports Perceptronics Solutions’ current projects, which are described elsewhere on this site. Our projects are being performed by a team noted for its creativity, its productivity and its ability to rapidly commercialize R&D products. Most of our staff are Perceptronics, Inc. alumni, and so have worked together effectively for years. Along the way, we have learned the value of effective technical and business partnerships. Accordingly, Perceptronics Solutions is actively engaged in forming synergistic teaming arrangements with outstanding groups in robotics, information management, cognitive analysis and aiding, and simulation.
